Mom ask some of us over for lunch..
Shep is the pride of AppleYard. Not only does he sire the most beautiful pups imaginable, he is the most gentle and loving guy who ever wagged a tail.
Shep was bred by Debra Dersam Dollard of Alden, New York, and is out of her Dersam's Spark Plug and Dersam Dollards Honey. He was born Christmas Eve, 2003 and stands 25 inches at the shoulder and weighs a little over 80 pounds. Truly a lovable guy and terrific companion
The starting price for AppleYard Pups is $495. I have made every effort to hold the price on these pups because I wanted to make it as economical as possible for others to share the joy of owning one of these fine dogs. Unfortunately, with the raising cost of fuel and the spiraling cost of veterinary services I have had
to make some allowances.
Doodles almost wags her tail loose each time I remind her that she is Daddy's little girl.Talk about a pal, she never wants to leave my side...except when she hears a puppy whine.
Doodles was bred by Nancy McVaugh of Cassadaga, NY and is out of McVaugh's Charlie and Stonycreedk's Diamond. Born February, 2002, She stands 19 inches at the shoulder and weighs a little more than 70 pounds. A loving mom and very gentle with livestock.
We've got tough guy pups....
We've got sleepy guy pups...
Polly and Molly come to AppleYard from Florien, La,
We've got pensive guy pups...
We've got anxious moms...
And, We've got Show Biz pups
Trixie and Dixie were purchased by Canine Co-Stars, a show business talent agency, who provide animals and birds to production companies around the world. The agencie's president saw these pups along with Shep on my website and immediately contacted me to arrange the shipment of these two look-alike pups...animal work rights limit the work schedules of any single animal so that stand-ins are required on production sets. Today Trixie and Dixie are enjoying a very comfortable show biz career.
Our latest addition to the AppleYard line-up of sires is the Texas Charger.

Which means lots of relatives apart
from mom and dad-- aunts, uncles, brother, sisters, cousins-- to round
outa puppies concept of social responsibilty and belonging.
Sometimes the dogs acturally get called upon to work. Mostly just to keep their hand in, here is an example of Shep moving the goats to the barn.
Pups are also introduced to the livestock just as a part of their socialization process.
These dogs really enjoy having a job to do. Anything to please whether it is just a game of retrieve the ball, go for a walk or stand-by and watch the house these guys like to feel they are a part of family life.
Not all the dogs live at AppleYard. Some live with foster people families and only come home for reunions and kennel duty.

Although Izzy lives with Lexi in another city close by, her sister Willow sometimes arranges playdates so the two can still get together and reminis about their puppyhood at AppleYard. Both these pups are keepers and will one day have pups of theirown at AppleYard.
